Arkansas Girls State Edition

Being a faithful Girls Stater is hard work, but very worthwhile.  One week, during the summer before your senior year of high school can help mold you into the person you always knew you'd be.  These are some of my favorites from the past 6 years.

**So apparently they're all from 2011, but I'm sure they'll be another GS post. lol

Travel: Chicago

I was very fortunate to be able to travel to Chicago in June of 2007 to attend the National FBLA Conference held at the University of Chicago. 

Of course a trip to Chicago doesn't count unless you attend a Cubs game :)

It was just a few days before the 4th of July, so the decorations were going up all over the city.

A trip to Navy Pier was also a "must."

We took a water taxi from Navy Pier to the Field Museum where we met "Sue," the oldest dinosaur ever discovered.  Very "Night at the Museum."

Music Edition

I'm wanting to use this blog as a place to post all my prints I've taken.  It's an easy way to share with friends & family without spending 30 minutes uploading to an email.  My pictures are just for me, I don't want to be a professional photographer by ANY means!!  Unless it'd be a National Geographic type gig ;)   My actual "retirement" dream is to have a coffee table book of all my favorite prints I'll take over my lifetime.  


But I'm planning to post pictures pretty regularly, until I run out of prints of course. lol

Hello Again

So obviously I've been a tad on the MIA side...well no worries, I'm still here.  After some drama my room/computer is back in business!!  I've had some really neat stuff happen lately, but haven't found the right words to say about them.   One being that I stole the lovely girls of Good Air In; we had a fun girls night at my house {away from the parentals and little brother}.    Another happened by accident on a recent "wasting time" trip to Books A Million last week.  I sat down to read Kris Jenner's book "...and All Things Kardashian" and ended up chatting for a couple of hours with the 3 sweetest older gentlemen I've ever met.  {One even offered to take me to Rome!!}

But until such a time that I can tell you of such wonderful adventures, I'll just bore you with the unteaserlike teaser.  ;)
